The gondola at heavenly is primarily a winter attraction, but even in the summer, the sweeping views of South Lake Tahoe that it offers on the way up is worth the Gondola ride. California Lodge has free parking for guests in the lower and upper lots. We are not skiers so we were hesitant that we would find enough to do on top of the Heavenly Hill but we had enough to do for the entire day.
